Prevention drives downstream savings.
Preventive hygiene reduces emergency room visits, supports recovery and employment outcomes, and preserves quality of life for seniors and homebound patients.
Bringing dental hygiene directly to Massachusetts senior centers.
Our vision was to bring preventive dental hygiene services directly to Massachusetts senior centers. Today we proudly provide Senior Center services in the following communities — with additional communities being added.
Communities we serve across Massachusetts.
Delivering care in senior centers, schools, shelters, recovery programs, veterans organizations, and homebound residences.
Behind every number, a person.

"I was really nervous and wasn't sure I could go through with having my teeth cleaned. The hygienist said, 'Let's just take a look.' She explained what was causing my pain, and by the end of the visit I felt comfortable enough to receive treatment. She bought me time until I could get to a dentist."

"Finding Visiting Dental Hygiene was an answer to our prayers. My mother is bedbound and blind, making a trip to the dentist nearly impossible. VDH solved every challenge—we didn't have to worry about transportation, transferring her into a dental chair, or coordinating another difficult appointment. Their team is compassionate, professional, and truly loves what they do. My mother looks forward to every visit, and as her caregiver, they've taken an enormous burden off my shoulders."

"This is such a wonderful service. I never imagined I could have my teeth cleaned here."
Community partner voices.
"Visiting Dental Hygiene has become an invaluable resource for our seniors. When I transitioned to a new Council on Aging, one of my very first priorities was making sure this service would be available to the seniors in my new community as well. The impact VDH has on the health and well-being of older adults is truly remarkable."
"Visiting Dental Hygiene has become an essential part of the care we provide to our clients. The impact we've seen has been so significant that we've committed to covering the cost of care for clients who aren't eligible for reimbursement, ensuring that no one is turned away because of insurance. We've also chosen to sponsor these services for our staff because we believe so strongly in the value VDH brings to our community."
"In Good Health is proud to partner with Visiting Dental Hygiene to bring preventive oral healthcare directly to older adults in our communities. By offering these services at local Councils on Aging, VDH removes barriers to care and helps seniors maintain their health, independence, and quality of life. We've seen the value of this partnership firsthand, which is why we're proud to support and expand these services."
"At High Point Treatment Center, we recognize that oral health is an important part of overall health and recovery. Visiting Dental Hygiene has become an invaluable partner by bringing preventive dental care directly to our clients, removing barriers that often prevent individuals from accessing these essential services. Support for oral health increases overall health and increases self-esteem. We've seen the impact of this partnership firsthand, which is why we're proud to support VDH's mission and help ensure our clients—and our staff—have access to high-quality preventive oral healthcare."
"Our partnership with Visiting Dental Hygiene has continued to grow stronger over the years. The relationships our participants have built with Emma and the VDH team have created a truly meaningful experience. Each week, they take great pride in assembling the dental hygiene bags used during VDH's mobile clinics, knowing their work helps bring care to people who need it most. It's a partnership built on purpose, inclusion, connection, and community."
